Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Budget Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Northampton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in preparing and managing budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with program and grant managers to develop accurate revenue forecasts and expense allocations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed budgets for the new fiscal year, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with program and grant managers to determine revenue projections and grant-related expenses.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for budget adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Develop and maintain documentation of budget processes and procedures.
• Provide support during audits and reviews by ensuring all records are complete and accessible.
• Work closely with stakeholders to address questions or concerns related to budget planning and execution.
• Assist in periodic budget updates to reflect changes in funding or program needs. Requirements • Proven experience in annual budget preparation and management.
• Strong knowledge of budget processes and financial planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program and grant managers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Familiarity with grant-related financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
