Job Title: Load Cell Repair Technician
Job Description
The Load Cell Repair Technician investigates, evaluates, and repairs returned load cells and associated devices, ensuring all work meets established quality standards. This role suits a detail-oriented, technically skilled professional who can independently set up, operate, and follow repair processes in a production manufacturing environment while maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
Perform the initial investigation of returned load cells and ADTs, identifying faults and determining appropriate repair actions.
Clean incoming load cells and ADTs to prepare them for inspection and repair.
Disassemble units as required to conduct thorough inspections according to prescribed procedures.
Inspect load cells and ADTs following established quality control procedures and inspection documentation requirements.
Complete detailed repair reports, including fault identification and repair recommendations for approval.
Carry out rework and re-cabling of customer-returned goods in accordance with approved repair plans.
Manufacture cables for both repair orders and new orders using appropriate tools and techniques.
Attach cables to new load cells, ensuring secure connections and adherence to specifications.
Record all work completed using prescribed forms and documentation systems to maintain accurate service histories.
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances during inspection and repair activities.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while working in the manufacturing environment.
Perform other duties appropriate to the position as required to support the repair and production processes.
Essential Skills
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with repair, assembly, troubleshooting, electrical work, and soldering.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, and DROs.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection documentation.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts and repairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely in a moderately noisy manufacturing environment.
High school diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience documenting repair activities using standardized forms or reporting tools.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple repair tasks and documentation requirements.
Effective communication skills to clearly document findings and repair recommendations.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with a moderately noisy setting typical of production operations.
