J Rettenmaier Maintenance Technician I in North Tonawanda, New York
North Tonawanda. J. Rettenmaier. Maintenance Technician I. $20.50/hour.
Job Responsibilities & Duties * Remove snow & ice in winters by plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, spreading salt, etc. * Perform basic routine maintenance & repairs on building, machines, equipment * Maintain stocks of cutter knives & screens * Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance tasks * Greasing of necessary equipment. * Changing out of cutter knives,6 knife 12 knife, grinder, u-machine, condux * Sharpening of cutters in mills * Repair and replace cutter screens as necessary * Basic plant maintenance * Ability to follow written screen change , knifing sheets with minimal supervision * Use of variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment * Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by plant management. * Strip and make cutter screens * Run knife sharpener
Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent * Strong work ethic * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods of time * Ability to operate company owned equipment (mowers, plow truck, forklifts, man lifts, etc.) * Ability to work at heights of 50 on occasion * Ability to work in confined spaces periodically * Excellent organizational and time management skills
