Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in North Syracuse, New York. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in managing financial records and transactions. The role requires proficiency in bookkeeping and familiarity with accounting processes to support the company's financial operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by managing general bookkeeping tasks and ensuring data integrity.
• Process accounts payable (AP) transactions, including reviewing invoices and issuing payments.
• Handle accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Conduct timely bank reconciliations to ensure accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
• Perform check runs and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all payments.
• Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics for accounting tasks and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transactions align with company policies.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries to assist in decision-making processes.
• Monitor and track financial data to identify trends or irregularities.
• Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management.
• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics or similar accounting software.
• Ability to manage check runs and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders.
• Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
