Job Description
The GMT technician supports internal and external client needs by performing manual labor in support of CUI (Corrosion under Insulation) projects.
Responsibilities
Proficient in the use of small hand and power tools.
Proficient at erecting/dismantling scaffolding.
Knowledge of the use of air bags for lifting pipes.
Removes/Installs insulation and sheetmetal on piping.
Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, material handling, and site preparation.
Work effectively as part of a team in a remote/industrial environment.
Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and toolbox talks covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
Other related duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, preferred, or GED equivalent.
Minimum one (1) year directly related remote GMT experience in the construction or oil & gas industry.
Must be able to pass 40hr OSHA Asbestos Mitigation.
Must be able to pass fit test to wear a respirator.
Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
