Star Landscape & Engineering, LLC located in North Salt Lake, Utah, phone 801-294-7227 seeks 8 Landscape Laborer and Equipment Operators for temporary, full-time employment Monday-Friday 7 am-4pm, 40 hours per week from 4/1/2026 to 12/13/2026.
Duties: Workers will landscape or maintain grounds of properties using hand tools, power tools, or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of task which may include planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, seeding, mulching, sod laying, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. All work is performed outdoors on the ground level by hand using hand tools (such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes) or power tools (such as trimmers, blowers, hand mowers, and hand saws) and may also include using landscape machinery including (but not limited to) skid steers, mini excavators, track hoes, and ride-on mowers. Must be a self-starter and able to lift 50 lbs. No previous education or work experience required.
Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Salt Lake, Davis County.
Workers will be paid no less than $27.91 per hour depending on experience. Overtime hours may vary and will be paid at $41.87 per hour. On the job training will be provided. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid every other Friday by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law including reasonable cost of housing if provided by employer.
Optional employer-provided housing is available at a cost of no more than $200 per week.
Transportation and subsistence from the place where the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment and return transportation and subsistence will be provided. Daily subsistence will be $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the North Salt Lake office. Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite.
Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period
of the total employment period. This job is in connection with a future H-2B Foreign Labor Certification application.
