Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves managing the loading and unloading of goods using a sit-down forklift and ensuring the safe transportation of refrigeration units. The position is vital to maintaining the smooth flow of materials in our busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete docking and blocking responsibilities within the back of semi-trailers before and after forklift certification.

  • Assist in situating and securing refrigeration units in semis to prevent movement during transit.

  • Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and organize materials appropriately.

  • Monitor inventory levels and restock production lines using a first-in, first-out methodology.

  • Block off refrigeration units in semis using wooden blocks and small hand and power tools.

  • Replenish production lines and point-of-use storage locations.

  • Perform repetitive responsibilities related to sit-down forklift operations.

  • Utilize downtime effectively by asking for additional tasks or maintaining a clean work area.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of forklift experience (sit-down).

  • Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations, and shipping & receiving.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand new, large, and clean manufacturing setting that adheres to LEAN manufacturing principles. You will be working on loading docks and in enclosed truck trailers, where space can be tight. The facility features 24 dock doors and follows an efficient assembly line and flow. The position is based in Mukwonago and operates on the 1st shift, with voluntary half-day Saturdays. Safety is prioritized, and workers should be comfortable with tight spaces and working at step ladder heights.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
