Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a mid-level Technical Writer with experience developing technical documentation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with program managers and engineering teams to create contract deliverables and a wide range of documentation supporting hardware/software development, testing, and delivery. This is a full-time position located at SDL's North Logan, Utah headquarters.

Researches, writes, formats, and edits contract deliverable documents, including reports, manuals, test procedures, plans, and presentations
Interviews subject matter experts and other SDL personnel to gain understanding of the concept, product, and/or assignment
Attends program review meetings and customer meetings to capture action items and notes/minutes
Assists with tracking program requirements as needed, including software and hardware documentation output, technical requirements documents, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related field
Excellent written communication skills, including a strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guides
Ability to enhance writing by improving clarity, organization, and overall readability
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loop
Strong situational awareness demonstrated by the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and navigate complex conversations with diplomacy
Ability to assess and meet tight deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shift
Ability to be proactive and work productively alone with little direct supervision as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team
Ability to understand, evaluate, and document technical and engineering concepts
Experience producing user manuals, test plans or procedures, technical and status reports, and other professional technical documentation
Proficiency using MS Office
Experience using Adobe products
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SSBI
Experience working DoD programs
Proposal writing experience
