Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Administrator
Location: Greater Little Rock, Arkansas
Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000
Our client, a leading organization in the North Little Rock area, is seeking a dedicated Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join their team. As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will be an essential part of the Human Resources department supporting the organization’s payroll and employee benefits functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.
What's the Job?
Process payroll for both Hourly and Exempt employees in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Assist in administering employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal employees, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, handling benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll, wage, and hour laws, and facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, with 3–5 years of payroll administration experience; or 8–10 years of progressive payroll experience without a degree.
Extensive knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and its application to payroll processing.
Strong understanding of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Proficiency with payroll software/HRIS (ADP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
