Description
ICM Solutions , the leader in crushing, underground mining rebuild, and white paving equipment, service, and solutions across the Mountain West, is seeking a Delivery Driver & Yard Helper to join our growing team in Las Vegas, NV . This position will be responsible for assisting the parts warehouse team, maintaining the heavy equipment yard (as described below), and delivering parts and goods throughout our territory. The candidate will build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers while working with multiple departments on providing solutions to the customer, working throughout the yard and warehouse as needed. The ideal candidate will be curious about our crushing business and eager to learn various systems, processes and tools within a continuous improvement environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Safety will be the first consideration in all duties performed. Will use TRACK and work safely, watching for and correcting any unsafe acts or conditions, reporting any near misses.
Perform pre-rental checks to ensure machines are in safe operational condition, perform basic maintenance such as but not limited to checking and topping off fluid levels, checking air filters, greasing, and washing equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory and record damaged machines.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard / warehouse.
Maintain accurate documentation for all applicable rental agreements such as shippers/receivers, damages, consumables, etc.
Assist Journeyman technicians if needed
Operate large trucks, forklifts and other equipment.
Pick-up / Deliver parts and components to customers and technician locations.
Secure cargo using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
Maintain truck cleanliness and keep in safe working condition, conforming to all DOT regulations.
Utilize packaging tooling and equipment.
Process inbound and outbound freight.
Pull and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Locate and sort stocked parts and components.
Assist with loading and unloading customers.
Assist with core returns.
Complete inventory counts.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Clean driving record, DOT record and safety record; ability to obtain DOT medical card.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Must be able to operate forklift and telehandler in a safe manner.
Understand the urgency of our industries.
Be open minded to new ideas and processes.
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Be able to obtain MSHA certification.
Experience pulling trailers will be helpful.
