Job Description
We are seeking an Electronics Repair Technician to support the repair and maintenance of welding equipment control boxes. This bench-based, hands-on role involves working with electronic components, wire harnesses, and switches within a small, close-knit team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing or troubleshooting electronic equipment and be comfortable working independently at a bench using small hand tools.
Responsibilities
Repair, troubleshoot, and support electronic control boxes and assemblies.
Work with wire harnesses, switches, connectors, relays, and control components.
Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and reassemble electronic equipment at a dedicated workbench.
Use small hand tools and basic test equipment to complete repairs.
Perform functional testing to verify repairs meet quality standards.
Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, or work instructions as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow safety practices.
Communicate repair status and findings with team leads and operations.
Support a team-based environment with flexibility as workload shifts.
Essential Skills
Experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair at component-level or assembly-level.
Proficiency in working with control boxes, control panels, and electronic enclosures.
Skilled in building, repairing, terminating, or modifying wire harnesses.
Experience with switches, relays, connectors, and terminals.
Ability to use small hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, and wire strippers.
Proficient in bench-based repair or assembly work.
Ability to read schematics and use a multimeter for basic electrical testing.
Capable of cable termination and repair documentation.
Experience in test verification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills in electrical/electronics.
Experience in equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics, particularly with industrial equipment.
Preventive maintenance mindset with basic PM checks.
Hands-on technical skills in assembly and disassembly of components at the bench level.
Proficient in hand and power tool use, including small hand tools and basic shop tools.
Experience in cable and harness work, including build, repair, and rework.

Work Environment
This role is based in a low-stress, team-oriented work environment located in a 20,000-square-foot facility at Quonset Point. The team is small and close-knit, fostering a supportive and straightforward atmosphere. The work schedule starts at 6:00 AM and typically ends between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime. The dress code is casual and work-appropriate, ensuring safety in a manufacturing environment. Employees enjoy flexibility during lunch and are trusted to manage their own work pace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kingstown, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
