Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
The Production Associate safely manufactures metal E-Rings by operating a variety of production equipment, performing assembly and inspection tasks, and ensuring products meet documented specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written work instructions, and effective communication with team members regarding work order status and completion.
Responsibilities
Manufacture metal E-Rings in accordance with established documentation, procedures, and quality standards.
Safely operate production equipment including Planish Press, Belt Sander, Roll Form Machines, Polish Equipment, and Hydraulic Presses to produce completed parts.
Use standard measuring devices and gauges to verify part dimensions and ensure product quality.
Read and interpret work instructions, work orders, and related documentation to perform tasks accurately.
Communicate clearly with team members and leads regarding work order status, production issues, and completion of work.
Perform assembly operations on components and finished parts as required.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of parts to confirm they meet specifications.
Utilize computer systems to access work instructions, record production data, and support manufacturing activities.
Work cooperatively with other production associates, manufacturing leads, and support staff to meet production goals.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with facility standards.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and follow written and verbal directions from leadership.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and production targets.
Essential Skills
Experience operating manufacturing or production machinery such as presses, sanders, roll form machines, and polishing equipment.
Ability to perform assembly and inspection tasks with strong attention to detail.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools, machines, and measuring devices.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic production documentation.
Basic computer skills to access instructions and enter production information.
Ability to read and write English to follow written and verbal directions.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Ability to regularly stand and walk, use hands to operate machines, measuring devices, and a computer.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
Reliable attendance and the ability to follow safety and operational procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Basic math skills to perform measurements and simple calculations.
Inspection experience using gauges and measuring devices.
Machine operator, assembler, and inspection experience.
Supervisory experience or the ability to provide guidance to others is a plus.
Strong communication skills to share status updates and collaborate with team members.
Ability to adapt to different departments and roles as needed.
Ability to maintain professionalism when working with others and with visitors or members of the public.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility focused on producing metal E-Rings, where you work closely with other production associates, manufacturing leads, and manufacturing support staff. You regularly operate equipment such as Planish Presses, Belt Sanders, Roll Form Machines, Polish Equipment, and Hydraulic Presses, using standard measuring devices and gauges, as well as a computer for documentation and data entry. The position requires frequent standing and walking, regular use of hands to operate machines and tools, and close vision for detailed inspection work. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, professionalism, and cooperation. Typical schedules include multiple shifts: 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with potential overtime; 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Monday through Thursday and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday; and 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
