Aerotek Maintenance Technician in North Chesterfield, Virginia

The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports plant operations by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to work across multiple systems, and a commitment to safe, reliable plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery and equipment.

  • Perform basic mechanical repairs using standard maintenance tools, techniques, and practices.

  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, including lubricating, aligning, adjusting, and cleaning equipment.

  • Perform basic welding for repair and fabrication of mechanical components.

  • Assist with work on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and combustion systems as needed.

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Support mechanics and machine operators with multi‑task maintenance functions.

  • Monitor equipment condition and optimize the use of planned outages for maintenance activities.

Required Skills

  • PLC troubleshooting and minor PLC modifications

  • Motor control and motor systems

  • 480V electrical systems

  • Industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Ladder logic fundamentals

  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair

  • Basic welding and fabrication

Experience Level

Intermediate — prior hands‑on industrial maintenance experience required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
