Job Title: Document Retrieval Specialist Job Description
This role involves working on a 3-6 month special clean-up project, followed by a transition into a General Utility position. Candidates will be part of a self-managed team responsible for retrieving, storing, categorizing, moving, and documenting old files throughout the building.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively within a team of four to manage and document old files.
Navigate Excel and perform data entry tasks.
Lead the group in the absence of other team members.
Interact with management to retrieve old boxes and file cabinets.
Enter information into software to track 50 years of data.
Ensure quality objectives are met and complete daily tasks.
Work in rough areas to retrieve old files.
Essential Skills
Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
Ability to lead and manage a team.
Self-driven, autonomous, and goal-oriented.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor, production support, or manufacturing processes.
1-2 years of experience in material handling, assembly, or similar roles.
Exposure to environments with dust, oil, and water damage.
Ability to lift more than 50 lbs and work in dark, damp spaces.

Work Environment
Candidates will work in a non-climate-controlled environment, navigating dark rooms, damp areas, and exposure to oil and grease. The role involves a significant amount of physical labor, including lifting and handling dusty or water-damaged files. PPE will be provided to ensure safety. Hours are from 8 am to 4 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
