Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, execution, financial performance, and delivery of projects while upholding standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will be integral during preconstruction and estimating, supporting budgeting, scope development, and cost control strategies to ensure a smooth transition from proposal to execution.
Responsibilities
Lead construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
Ensure successful planning, execution, and financial performance of projects.
Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Participate in preconstruction and estimating efforts, supporting budgeting, scope development, and cost control strategies.
Facilitate a smooth transition from proposal to execution.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a general contractor.
Experience in estimating and preconstruction efforts for commercial or industrial projects.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with common construction software such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam, and Excel.
Work Environment
The work is conducted onsite, requiring direct engagement with the construction environment and teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
