The practice & team
Maven Veterinary Care is a purpose-built, single-site hospital recognized for its clinical excellence and high standards of patient care. With five “Outstanding” RCVS Practice Standards Awards and Gold Cat Friendly status, this is a practice that has already achieved a great deal and now seeks a Clinical Director to build on that success and drive further development.
Facilities include dedicated ultrasound, x-ray and dentistry suites, two large operating theatres, and separate dog and cat waiting areas and wards. This enables thorough case work-up, continuity of care, and the opportunity to maintain high clinical standards.
The clinical team is experienced and capable, with certificate holders across medicine, surgery and ophthalmology. There is a strong culture of case discussion, shared decision-making, and mentoring, supported by a highly skilled nursing team and an established leadership structure. This provides a secure platform for a Clinical Director to focus on progression and innovation rather than remediation.
Out-of-hours care is provided onsite by Vets Now, keeping complex cases in-house, which means access to rewarding clinical work without the OOH commitment.
North Cheam offers the best of both worlds: excellent access into Central London alongside a more relaxed local pace. You are within easy reach of Epsom Downs, Wimbledon and Twickenham, as well as the Surrey countryside including Box Hill. Strong transport links, family-friendly amenities, and proximity to Heathrow and Gatwick make this location both practical and desirable.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to step into a leadership position where their influence is real, their decisions shape the practice, and their expertise is valued.
