Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support both production and development programs, including Project Maverick and Project Titan. This role focuses on delivering zero-defect outcomes through process development, optimization, and innovative problem-solving. You will help establish and sustain efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Define manufacturing methods, process flows, and operation sequences for parts and assemblies
Create and maintain routers, work instructions, and process documentation
Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, including insourcing initiatives
Research and apply new manufacturing technologies and methods
Establish process controls, production standards, and equipment requirements
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
Design tooling, fixtures, and gauges using CAD
Support production and inspection teams with technical guidance
Contribute to CAM programming and other manufacturing automation efforts
Lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Coordinate inspection methods and process validations with Quality Engineering
Interface with customers on manufacturability and design concerns
Collaborate with vendors on equipment sourcing, procurement, and implementation
Support additional engineering and operational initiatives as needed
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience)• 3+ years of manufacturing or related engineering experience• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)• Ability to adapt schedule to support production needs• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills• Effective communication and collaboration across teams• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Preferred Qualifications• Experience with CAD and manufacturing technologies• Background in machining, finishing processes (shot peen, tumbling, cleaning), or NDT• Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing)• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills• Experience working in cross-functional environments
Physical Requirements• Standing and walking for up to 7 hours per day• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling for up to 2 hours per day• Regular use of hands for fine motor skills and grasping for up to 7 hours per day
Travel Requirements• Up to 25% travel (primarily domestic, occasional international)
