Akima SharePoint PowerApps Developer (Active Top Secret Clearance) in North Charleston, South Carolina
AMO, an Akima company, is looking add for a SharePoint PowerApps Developer with a Top-Secret clearance to the team in Summerville, SC. This full-time position will support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network as a SharePoint PowerApps Developer responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining enterprise applications and data-driven business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
This role combines PowerApps development, workflow automation, data visualization, and enterprise integration to modernize business processes across secure DoD environments. The developer will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 technologies.
Responsibilities
Mines and analyzes complex and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods for use in data driven decision making. Performs research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data. Develops and applies algorithms or models to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations or answering business questions. Implements new or enhanced software designed to access and handle data more efficiently.
Power Platform Development
Design, develop, and maintain applications using:
Microsoft PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
Microsoft Flow / Power Automate.
Power BI.
Customize SharePoint lists and integrate disparate systems using PowerApps.
Develop PowerApps data models and implement structured development methodologies.
Create business processes and custom connectors using Microsoft Flow.
Apply PowerApps formulas and development best practices.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts supporting automation and administration.
Microsoft 365 & Azure Integration
Leverage strong knowledge of the Office 365 ecosystem including:
Exchange.
Intune.
Azure AD.
Azure services.
Integrate applications with SharePoint 2016 and modern SharePoint Online environments.
Support SOA/web services design and integration (ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript).
Data Analytics & Reporting
Develop custom dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Apply systems and process analysis tools to improve workflow automation.
Support data modeling and visualization initiatives to enhance program decision-making.
Ensure proper licensing alignment for PowerApps and Flow environments.
Business & Requirements Engagement
Facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions.
Work directly with management and end users to define application needs and feasible solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical design documentation.
Support full system lifecycle activities, including requirements, development, testing, and sustainment.
Demonstrate strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Collaboration & Communication
Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide exceptional written and verbal communication.
Contribute to development of new processes and enabling systems across the program.
Qualifications
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience per contract guidelines).
3–6 years of experience developing enterprise Microsoft-based solutions.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Flow/Power Automate, Power BI).
Experience customizing SharePoint lists and integrating enterprise systems.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
Experience with web services/SOA, ASP.NET MVC, and JavaScript.
Strong understanding of systems analysis and development lifecycle methodologies.
Experience with Windows and Linux platforms.
Desired Certifications
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
