SAIC SCA Stock Clerk in North Charleston, South Carolina

Description

SAIC is seeking a Stock Clerk to join in and support our team at our office in North Charleston, SC .

The Stock Clerk will assist and execute transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and arrange materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage

  • Moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products

  • Operating or tending pipelines pumps and valves to transfer liquids

  • Driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment; and using scoops, hand trucks, and wheelbarrows to load and move materials

  • Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard

  • Sort/weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice

  • Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications

  • Store articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material

  • Fill orders or issue supplies from stock

  • Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock

  • Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders

  • Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment

  • Adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments

  • May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles

  • May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued

  • May adjust or repair articles carried in stock

  • May cut stock to site to fill order

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School and zero (0) years’ experience

Required Clearance:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to accurately manage, track, and document inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and supplies, while maintaining detailed stock records and preparing inventory reports.

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, material-handling machinery, and other tools like hand trucks and wheelbarrows; as well as the capability to lift, move, and arrange materials safely and efficiently.
