Actalent Safety Manager in North Charleston, South Carolina

Job Title: Safety ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a significant mechanical subcontracting project. The role involves implementing site-specific safety programs, developing work plans, and coordinating job site hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage site-specific safety programs.

  • Develop and review work plans for safety compliance.

  • Coordinate the job site hazard analysis program.

  • Conduct and document all safety inspections.

  • Conduct and document all project safety training sessions.

  • Review and finalize all safety submittals.

  • Interact with subcontractors and the owner's representatives to ensure safety standards are met.

Essential Skills

  • Possession of a current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

  • Possession of an OSHA 30 card issued within the last 3 years.

  • Academic degree in Safety, CSP, ASP, or CHST.

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior work experience as a designated construction safety manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 500 certification.

  • Ability to lead and train other safety coordinators as the project scales.

  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment

The Safety Manager will be part of a long-term project located in a single location, providing stability and consistency. The role requires a dedicated approach to safety management, and familiarity with construction and mechanical environments is beneficial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
