We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a significant mechanical subcontracting project. The role involves implementing site-specific safety programs, developing work plans, and coordinating job site hazard analysis.
Responsibilities
Implement and manage site-specific safety programs.
Develop and review work plans for safety compliance.
Coordinate the job site hazard analysis program.
Conduct and document all safety inspections.
Conduct and document all project safety training sessions.
Review and finalize all safety submittals.
Interact with subcontractors and the owner's representatives to ensure safety standards are met.
Essential Skills
Possession of a current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Possession of an OSHA 30 card issued within the last 3 years.
Academic degree in Safety, CSP, ASP, or CHST.
Minimum of 5 years of prior work experience as a designated construction safety manager.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 500 certification.
Ability to lead and train other safety coordinators as the project scales.
Mechanical knowledge is a plus.
Work Environment
The Safety Manager will be part of a long-term project located in a single location, providing stability and consistency. The role requires a dedicated approach to safety management, and familiarity with construction and mechanical environments is beneficial.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
