ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in North Charleston. We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to support daily grounds maintenance operations. This position performs routine landscaping and turf maintenance duties to ensure the facility grounds remain safe, clean, and professionally maintained in accordance with contract standards.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Perform turf maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
Maintain landscape beds including weeding, pruning, mulching, and plant replacement.
Assist with irrigation system inspections and report leaks or damage.
Operate and maintain commercial landscaping equipment in a safe manner.
Collect and remove debris to maintain clean and professional building entrances and common areas.
Support seasonal planting, fertilization, and grounds beautification projects.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
Report equipment issues, irrigation problems, or safety hazards to the Grounds Maintenance Manager.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma/GED preferred.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid Real ID or U.S. Passport.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate company vehicles and grounds equipment.
Previous commercial landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to pass a background check and physical.
Must be available Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
