Actalent Pharmacy Technician in North Canton, Ohio

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team and support prescription processing during the 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) on a full-time basis. This role is primarily seated and computer-based, focusing on accurate data entry and providing professional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and review prescription information accurately in the pharmacy system.

  • Support pharmacists with prescription processing and administrative tasks.

  • Provide courteous, professional customer service via phone and computer systems.

  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and company policies.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to support daily workflow.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred.

  • Registered (or eligible for registration) per state requirements.

  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

  • Professional communication and customer service skills.

  • Comfortable working at a desk and computer for most of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered or Trainee Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

  • Ability to register as a trainee upon offer, which takes 24 hours to register and must be completed before starting.

Work Environment

This position is located in a long-term care closed-door pharmacy with a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Training will be provided from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for approximately 90 days. The role requires working every other Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with a $3 shift differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
