1 Machine Operator / Warehouse Material Handler 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) North Canton, OH $23.30 - $26.80/HRLY Job Responsibilities Yarde Metals is looking for a warehouse/machine operator associate to join our Operations Team. This position requires warehouse material handling and operating saws to cut material according to customer specifications. SAFETY FIRST! Move material throughout warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders and overhead cranes). Organize work tickets according to location and material type. Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions. Verify accuracy of material retrieved by measuring and comparing product information on tag to work order. Construct skids and use shipping supplies to properly wrap and prepare product for delivery using tape measures, banding equipment, and nail guns. Tag material, verify product against work order, and perform last piece visual inspection. Safely load and unload material from trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders. Inspect inbound material using measuring tape measures and calipers. Record and report material discrepancies. Locate material into inventory racking system. Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up. Expedite orders and process received and shipped material in system. Print material certifications and shipping tickets. Continually inspect materials and report material defects. Safely operate processing equipment (bar saws, plate saws, shears). Setting up saw for safe operation. Inspect and measure in-process material according to quality sampling plan. Clean saw according to designated maintenance procedures. Perform additional duties as instructed by manager. Requirements & Qualifications This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery Machining, warehouse, material handling, and forklift experience strongly preferred. Experience related to the duties of operating a saw is strongly preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and carry out work instructions in English. High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required. Must be able to read and understand basic measurement functions (ruler, caliper, etc.) High Level of attention to detail.
