Coworx Staffing Services Order Picker in North Brookfield, Massachusetts
CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Order Picker to join our team. This role plays a key part in receiving, labeling, storing, and staging customer orders for shipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, can follow established procedures, and is committed to safety and accuracy. Responsibilities: \ Receive pallets of cartons, identify items by code, and store or stage them appropriately \ Enter item codes and sizes into the computer (JDE) to review outstanding orders \ Select orders by due date, generate gummed labels, apply labels, and separate cartons by customer and ship date \ Operate BTs or forklifts to move pallets throughout the department \ Use shrink-wrap equipment to prepare full skids for shipping \ Store inventory on racks and pull items as orders are received \ Respond to handwritten notes when manual overrides are needed \ Verify carton counts on all skids before shipment \ Report equipment issues, questionable data, or material concerns to the supervisor \ Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, orderly work area \ Maintain regular and reliable attendance \ Perform other related duties as assigned Desired Background/Skills: \ Ability to pick and lift boxes following all training procedures \ Forklift operation experience is required - including loading/unloading trucks and placing products in correct storage areas \ Ability to operate a baler for processing cardboard, scrap rubber bales, and related materials \ 3-6 months of warehouse or related experience Other Information: \ Training Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, 1/2 unpaid meal period \ Regular Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, 1/2 unpaid meal period
