North Adams Regional Hospital Staff Nurse (Multiple Shifts) in North Adams, Massachusetts
Registered Nurse is the designation given to an individual who is licensed to practice professional nursing, holds ultimate responsibility for direct and indirect nursing care, is a graduate of an approved school for professional nursing, and is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse pursuant to M.G.L. c.112. Included in such responsibility is providing nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort, of those they serve. The Registered Professional Nurse functions as a health care team leader responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Professional Nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Position Qualifications
Experience: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. - Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures. Education and Training - Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred. License, Certification & Registration: - RN License-Current Massachusetts RN License required - BLS - ACLS within 6 months of hire. Other Addendum(s) Requirements - Two years previous either medical/surgical or ED experience preferred. - CPR required. - ACLS within 6 months, TNCC, PALS required within one year. - IV expereince preferred. - May be required to float to perioperative services pre/post areas at NARH and med/surg and ED at other BHS campuses. Machinery, Tools & Equipment - Sterilizer, power tools/equipment, operating room table, surgical lights, computers, intercom, stretchers, cardiac monitors, defibrillator, addressograph, patient lounge chairs. The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
