Zio Roberto Head Mixologist in North Adams, Massachusetts

Position Overview We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Head Mixologist to lead and elevate our beverage program. This role is responsible for designing innovative cocktails and mocktails, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and delivering a refined guest experience rooted in hospitality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of flavor balance, seasonality, and presentation, with a passion for creating memorable drinks inspired by global and Italian aperitivo culture. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute seasonal cocktail and mocktail menus with a focus on quality, creativity, and consistency - Lead the bar team through training, mentorship, and daily operational guidance - Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization behind the bar - Source premium ingredients, manage inventory, and control beverage costs - Create house-made syrups, infusions, and garnishes to enhance the beverage program - Ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and guest experience - Collaborate with culinary and management teams to align beverage offerings with the overall concept - Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and non-alcoholic innovations - Oversee compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations Qualifications - 3-5+ years of experience in craft cocktail environments, with leadership experience preferred - Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern techniques, and non-alcoholic beverage programs - Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while maintaining attention to detail - Experience with inventory management and cost control - Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills - Experience with Italian aperitivo-style beverages and wine knowledge - Background in menu development and beverage program creation - Familiarity with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients - Advanced skills in garnish design and presentation What We Offer - Competitive pay - Creative freedom to shape and lead the beverage program - Opportunities for growth within a dynamic hospitality environment - Staff training, tastings, and professional development
