Amergis Speech Language Pathologist - Schools in Norfolk, Virginia

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based

Location: Virginia (School Setting)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Length: 20 weeks

Start Date: March 2, 2026

Schedule: Weekdays only

Interview Required: Yes

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support students in a school-based environment. In this role, you will conduct student evaluations, provide therapy services, and document all interventions according to each student’s individualized plan of care and physician orders.

This assignment offers 37.5 hours per week with a 20-week contract beginning 3/2/2026, and includes daytime, weekday scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive student evaluations

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services in accordance with the plan of care

  • Document all therapy sessions and progress accurately and timely

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and related service providers

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations

  • Follow all professional standards of practice

    Minimum Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment

  • CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred; may be required depending on state/contract

  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

  • Current health certificate (per state/contract)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

    Additional Assignment Details

  • Drug screen required

  • Client interview required

  • Licensure and relevant credentials
