JOB OVERVIEW
MartinFed has an opening for an experienced Senior A&A Support Lead to support cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities across DoD environments, with a focus on Afloat systems. This role requires deep familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), strong communication skills, and the ability to interpret and apply DoD cybersecurity policies. You'll work closely with stakeholders, lead documentation reviews, and ensure systems meet all compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and execute Assessment & Authorization (A&A) tasks in alignment with DoD RMF
Apply advanced knowledge of information technology security to assess system risks
Review and provide expert feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders, and instructions
Interpret DoD cybersecurity policies and regulations (e.g., 8500 series, 5200 series) for Afloat stakeholders
Utilize eMASS to manage RMF workflows, artifacts, and system packages
Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Office tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide leadership to ensure cybersecurity compliance
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizen with an active SECRET clearance
Experience in information technology security
Meets DoD 8570.01-M requirements for IAM Level III (or equivalent)
Must be designated as an NQV
Hands-on experience with DoD RMF assessment and authorization processes
Proficiency with eMASS
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting Afloat cybersecurity programs
Advanced understanding of DoD cybersecurity governance and compliance
Experience leading or mentoring cybersecurity teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Working on a computer for long periods of time.
May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
