Telespazio Belgium Data Analytics support Engineer to the Evaluation Team in Noordwijk-Binnen, Netherlands

Telespazio Belgium has an on‑site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we are looking for a highly skilled Data Analytics Support Engineer to the Evaluation Team to work there.

Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration

What is expected from you:

  • Planning and scheduling of evaluations and ad-hoc projects

  • Research activities related to economy, space economy and related topics

  • Qualitative analyses using appropriate approaches like interviews, surveys, focus groups, content analysis, peer-reviews etc…

  • Maintenance and further development of the Digital Twin and data models available in ESA and DG-AE, leveraging IT tools, SQL language, and data integration.

  • Provision of comprehensive support in preparing, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, SharePoint, and Cloud, ensuring datasets are complete, consistent, and analysis-ready.

  • Data Analysis to discover patterns, generate new insights and make recommendations

  • Data visualisation solutions using Power BI or other tools.

  • Creation of information retrieval applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and embedded models.

  • Delivery advanced analytics from structured and unstructured data sources, leveraging AI, ML models (e.g. PyTorch), ML libraries (e.g. Scikit-learn, Hugging Face transformers), Prompt Engineering, Python, fine-tuning and model optimization.

  • Provision of analytical reports and research on a variety of formats as requested by the Technical Responsible (e.g. documents, research papers, datasets, presentations, interactive dashboards)

  • Support to meetings with the relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to the Agency.

  • Collaboration with other ESA functions to expand the model and develop relevant services and deliverables, as prioritised

  • Support the other activities of the team, documentation & transfer of knowledge.

Where:

You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency's offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don't expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
