We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 6-9 years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate should demonstrate solid expertise in Core Java, Spring ecosystem, microservices, DevOps tooling, and modern engineering practices. In addition to technical depth, the role requires the ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct technical interviews, provide architectural guidance, and uphold engineering excellence across the team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Design, develop, and enhance scalable Java-based applications using Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST/SOAP APIs
Work on hands‑on coding assignments including string manipulations, collections, Java programs, design problems, and troubleshooting
Contribute to system design involving design patterns (circuit breaker, microservices), SOLID principles, and class modelling
Optimize performance, troubleshoot OOM issues, and enhance system scalability and resilience
Automation, DevOps & Cloud-readiness
Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins (Intermediate), and containerization using Docker, Kubernetes including scaling fundamentals and debugging
Work with messaging queues, API gateways, and integration patterns
Database & Integration
Work extensively with Oracle DB, JPA/Hibernate ORM, and SQL optimization
Develop and maintain REST/SOAP based microservices integrations
Security & Best Practices
Implement and review security frameworks - Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT-based authentication
Ensure engineering quality through clean code, code reviews, and enforcement of development standards
Technical Mentoring & Interviewing
Mentor junior and mid-level developers on Java, design, and debugging
Conduct L1/L2 technical interviews, hands-on coding assessments, design evaluations, and cross-questioning sessions
Guide team members in problem solving, code structure, and modern engineering practices

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of professional experience in Java backend engineering
Demonstrated experience mentoring and technically guiding engineers
Java 8+, Core Spring, Spring Boot, Spring AOP
REST API development, Oracle DB, JPA/Hibernate ORM
Messaging Queues, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
Docker, Kubernetes, API Gateways, Microservices Architecture
Functional Programming (Lambdas, Streams, Optionals)
Preferred Qualifications :
SOAP API, Spring Security
Experience with design whiteboarding/problem modelling
Performance management & NFRs
