WSP USA Specialist - Software Testing in Noida, India

The Quality Tester is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet defined quality standards before release. The role involves manual and/or automated testing, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and working closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver reliable and high‑quality solutions.

This role is critical in maintaining application stability, performance, security, and user experience across web, mobile, and enterprise systems.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Review business and functional requirements to ensure clarity and testability.

  • Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing.

  • Validate fixes and enhancements before production releases.

  • Conduct cross‑browser and cross‑device testing where applicable.

Defect Management

  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA / Azure DevOps / ALM.

  • Clearly document defects with steps to reproduce and expected vs actual results.

  • Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Participate in defect triage and prioritization discussions.

Automation Testing (if applicable)

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

  • Identify regression candidates for automation.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where required.

Collaboration & Process

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners during SDLC.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities.

  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and methodologies.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC.

  • Experience with manual testing techniques and defect management.

  • Hands‑on experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Automation (Preferred)

  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

  • Knowledge of scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps pipelines) is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Good communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher) is preferred.

  • Experience testing enterprise applications, ERP, CRM, or cloud‑based systems is an advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Performance or load testing experience.

  • Security testing awareness.

  • Accessibility testing exposure.

  • Experience with cloud‑based applications (Azure / AWS).
