Principal Accountabilities:

• Assess the nutrition status of patients on appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data.

• Performs nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members.

• Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.

• Develops and participates in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care.

• Maintains accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assists in statistical analysis of data and action plans for performance improvement initiatives.

• Participated in the efforts of department PI projects and clinical nutrition programs

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

• Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

• 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or relevant area.
