POSITION OVERVIEW
Bureau Veritas is seeking an exceptionally experienced Project Manager for LNG Thermal Plant to lead complex, large-scale energy infrastructure projects. This senior-level position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive international experience in managing major CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) power plant projects and LNG terminal operations.
The successful candidate will oversee project planning, coordination, stakeholder management, team leadership, and quality assurance for critical LNG thermal plant projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, timely delivery, and exceptional quality outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Coordination
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for LNG thermal plant projects, including detailed timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and milestone schedules
Coordinate activities of cross-functional teams including onshore and offshore personnel, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors
Establish and maintain clear communication channels and reporting mechanisms with all stakeholders
Identify potential risks and challenges specific to LNG and CCGT operations; implement appropriate risk management and mitigation strategies
Continuously monitor project progress against KPIs; make timely adjustments to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
Manage project scope, changes, and variations in accordance with contractual requirements
Ensure compliance with international standards, regulations, and best practices throughout project lifecycle
LNG & Thermal Plant Expertise
Provide technical oversight and management of LNG terminal operations and thermal power plant systems
Oversee equipment manufacturing supervision for CCGT power plant projects (>1000MW capacity, GT Class H - preferably GT36 or equivalent)
Manage LNG storage tank operations and maintenance (tanks >180,000 m³ capacity)
Ensure proper installation, testing, commissioning, and hook-up of LNG terminal equipment and thermal plant systems
Monitor compliance with LNG safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices
Coordinate between design teams, manufacturers, contractors, and operational teams
Manage technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for LNG and thermal plant systems
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure implementation of Bureau Veritas Quality Policies, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) policies, and procedures
Establish and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes throughout project execution
Conduct or oversee inspections, testing, and verification activities at fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages
Ensure adherence to international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, API, ASME, DNV, etc.)
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and quality records
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues
Conduct internal audits and manage external regulatory inspections
Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities
Effectively communicate project status, milestones, progress, and issues to all stakeholders
Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in timely and professional manner
Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate collaboration
Represent the project and Bureau Veritas in meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements
Prepare and deliver project reports, presentations, and documentation to senior management
Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies on compliance matters
Team Leadership & Mentoring
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to onshore and offshore project teams
Ensure team adherence to best practices, processes, quality standards, and safety protocols
Foster positive, productive work environment encouraging teamwork, communication, and continuous learning
Identify training and development needs; implement appropriate initiatives and skill development programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical field
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate issued by IRCA-accredited organization (MUST HAVE)
Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
Professional Experience
Minimum 20 Years of international experience in power generation and LNG sectors, including:
Minimum 10 years in offshore operations and similar complex infrastructure projects
Minimum 8 years managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) services and activities
Minimum 2 CCGT Power Plant Projects (>1000MW capacity) with equipment manufacturing supervision experience
GT Class H turbines (preferably GT36 or equivalent)
Complete project lifecycle management from design through commissioning
Demonstrated success in on-time, on-budget delivery
LNG Terminal Experience with:
Storage tanks >180,000 m³ capacity
LNG liquefaction or regasification processes
Cryogenic equipment and systems management
Terminal operations and maintenance oversight
Project Management Experience including:
Multi-million dollar capital projects
Complex international projects with diverse stakeholders
Cross-functional team leadership

Technical Knowledge & Expertise

Familiar with onshore fabrication and offshore installation procedures, inspection protocols, testing, and commissioning

Understanding of international maritime and energy regulations
Proficiency with project management tools and software (MS Project, Primavera, SAP, etc.)
