DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Site EHS Manager to lead Environment, Health & Safety for our Nîmes site.
In this role, you will combine hands-on operational involvement with structured EHS leadership , ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risks and driving continuous improvement across laboratory and production environments.
You will take full ownership of site EHS performance and play a key role in strengthening a clear, accountable and proactive EHS framework.
Reporting directly to the Site Leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams on site, as well as with Corporate EHS and EHS counterparts across the business unit (including H’dorf and Vantaa), to ensure alignment with Thermo Fisher standards and share best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own EHS performance and regulatory compliance at site level
Maintain and drive risk assessments (including DUERP and PAPRIPACT)
Lead chemical, biological and occupational risk management
Oversee fire safety, emergency preparedness and safety training programs
Manage environmental compliance and hazardous waste processes
Coordinate site hygiene standards and oversee relevant service providers
Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions
Partner with Maintenance, Quality and Procurement on EHS topics
Contribute to audits, inspections and regulatory interactions
Collaborate with Corporate EHS teams and EHS counterparts across the business unit (including H’dorf and Vantaa) to ensure alignment and share best practices
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or related field
5–8 years of experience in EHS roles, ideally in laboratory or regulated environments
Good knowledge of French EHS regulatory framework (DUERP, PAPRIPACT, environmental compliance)
Solid understanding of chemical and biological risk management
Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and EHS audits
Hands-on mindset with ability to operate both operationally and strategically
Strong communication and influencing skills across functions
Ability to work in a matrix environment and interact with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency with standard IT tools (MS Office, EHS systems)
Fluent in French and good level of English
