Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be instrumental in understanding and interpreting blueprints, and creating and improving existing drawings for lock components. The role involves utilizing SolidWorks to build 3D models from 2D prints.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and interpret blueprints accurately.

  • Create and modify existing drawings for lock components.

  • Utilize SolidWorks to build 3D models from 2D prints.

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure product design meets company standards.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in mechanical design.

  • Expertise in using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

  • Strong blueprint reading skills.

  • Experience in mechanical and product design.

  • 7+ years of experience in product design.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in FMEA analysis.

  • Knowledge of materials, including metals and plastics.

  • Experience in CAD and tool design.

  • Design engineering skills.

Work Environment

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. You will work in an office environment as part of the design team. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a well-established company that manufactures unique products for various industries.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Nicholasville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
