JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Consultant must be capable of interfacing with all levels of a client environment from senior executive management to operational employees, and able to build, maintain and grow relationships with clients. Strong regulatory, analytical, financial, business communication, and organizational skills are required while meeting all consulting deliverables.The role requires the ability to take a client business plan and align with Government regulations to mitigate compliance risk and enhance cost effectiveness
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage consulting client engagements in a client-facing role.
Develop the engagement project and be a part of the delivery plan..
Collaborate with the engagement delivery team assigned including project management reviews and status reports – internally and to the client
Interpret customs and compliance regulations and apply to clients’ needs.
Lead Post Engagement Reviews and client satisfaction surveys including the outline of lessons learned, development of action plans, and assignment of, follows through to ensure actions have taken place.
Escalate client and project issues in a timely fashion.
Support selling of consulting engagements and promote Livingston as the leader in Customs, Trade Consulting and Global Trade Management services.
Develop and deliver winning proposals
Contribute to building and maintenance of the Practice Methodology by recommending and delivering improvements.
Support marketing initiatives by speaking at conferences, editing white papers, and leading educational webinars.
Show initiative to do special project support – recognize issues, identify gaps, suggest solutions and implement project.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Industry and management consulting experience
Five to ten years work experience in export and/or Import compliance operational management
Trade expertise and operational experience in imports and/or exports both commerce and state
Ability to apply that expertise in the client’s environment
Capability to recognize issues in the client’s situation
Knowledgeable and able to apply quality concepts
Ability to gather the appropriate data
Perform analysis
Identify gaps
Make appropriate recommendations
Implement recommendations
Design improvements
Install continuous improvement strategies
Ability to develop, describe, utilize and recommend improvements to the methodology
Willingness to learn, follow and improve Global Trade Management methodologies
Ability to apply Global Trade Management disciplines in the determination of the scope, sizing, pricing, proposal and contracting of Services

Able to “roll up your sleeves” and do the engagement work
Ready and willing to work overtime
Willing and able to complete Global Trade Management requirements with regard to time submissions, measurements, expense submissions, follow Corporate policies, etc.
Fluent in English required. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED
10 + years of progressive experience
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent
