POSITION TITLE: Truck Driver Heavy Construction Equipment (lowboy) DEPARTMENT: Equipment & Yard LOCATION: Niagara Falls, New York SALARY RANGE: $20 to $35 per hour JOB NUMBER: 2026-6140-01 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor located in Niagara Falls, New York, is looking for a full time lowboy Truck Driver to drive heavy loads throughout the East Coast to the Mid-West. Travel is mainly Monday through Friday, will be home most weekends. The daily work will include: * Will be responsible for lowboy truck operations transporting heavy construction equipment to numerous job sites located throughout the United States * Understanding the safe operation of each type of equipment driven * Perform all required DOT vehicle inspections to include pre and post trip safety inspections and report any issues * Complete and maintain all required paperwork * Ensure all cargo is properly secured * Track and document equipment moves * Maintain eligibility to drive under DOT regulations * Understand all applicable permits that are required and work within the permit parameters * Practice safe driving and accident prevention * Immediately report all incidents/accidents and participate and cooperate with all accident investigations * Attend all safety and training meetings * Keep equipment clean and in good working condition SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 2-5 years work experience driving and loading a 40+ ton rig; examples of equipment to be moved are: excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders, many of the over width and overweight variety * Experience in heavy hauling with a lowboy * Must possess a clean and valid Class A CDL license with any applicable endorsements * Must meet all DOT requirements to include pre-employment drug and alcohol examination * Must be able to demonstrate experience with lowboy operation--heavy equipment loading and unloading * Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing SALARY/BENEFITS:An employees salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
