DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor located in Niagara Falls, New York, is looking for a full time lowboy Truck Driver to drive heavy loads throughout the East Coast to the Mid-West. Travel is mainly Monday through Friday, will be home most weekends.

The daily work will include:
Will be responsible for lowboy truck operations transporting heavy construction equipment to numerous job sites located throughout the United States. Understanding the safe operation of each type of equipment driven. Perform all required DOT vehicle inspections to include pre and post trip safety inspections and report any issues. Complete and maintain all required paperwork. Ensure all cargo is properly secured. Track and document equipment moves. Maintain eligibility to drive under DOT regulations. Understand all applicable permits that are required and work within the permit parameters. Practice safe driving and accident prevention. Immediately report all incidents/accidents and participate and cooperate with all accident investigations. Attend all safety and training meetings. Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-5 years work experience driving and loading a 40+ ton rig; examples of equipment to be moved are: excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders, many of the over width and overweight variety. Experience in heavy hauling with a lowboy. Must possess a clean and valid Class A CDL license with any applicable endorsements. Must meet all DOT requirements to include pre-employment drug and alcohol examination. Must be able to demonstrate experience with lowboy operation--heavy equipment loading and unloading. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
