What Youll Do As a Laboratory Analyst Technician you will perform testing on natural and synthetic minerals from internal and external sources using physical and chemical test procedures. As an integrated part of the technician team, assist in sample logging and perform additional tasks as directed by the Laboratory Manager. You will work closely with production and research as well as other team members across the Washington Mills family. * Maintain accurate and complete records of analysis, perform calibration of equipment, and maintain instruments * Use instrumental analysis and wet chemistry methods as directed by the Laboratory Manager * Work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting with other Laboratory team members
What Youll Need To be successful in this position, you must: * Possess an Associates Degree in Laboratory Science with 2-4 years of experience * Have the ability to perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data * Be well organized and detail oriented * Be able to work well independently and within a team environment * Have good math skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) * Ability to obtain government clearance upon hire, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation
