Aerotek Machine Operator in Newport, Washington

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role is responsible for laying up and pressing panels to be used for interior and exterior aircraft parts. The position involves a range of duties essential to the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and withdraw necessary materials.

  • Cut and kit materials for production.

  • Lay up materials accurately and efficiently.

  • Load and unload the press as required.

  • Operate the press safely and effectively.

  • Use the saw for precise cutting operations.

  • Trim panels using CNC machinery.

  • Complete production paperwork diligently.

  • Actively participate in operational improvement activities.

  • Cross-train or transfer to other departments as needed.

  • Perform other tasks as necessary, demonstrating flexibility.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in general labor tasks and the use of hand and power tools.

  • Experience in production and manufacturing environments.

  • Skilled in machine operating, inspection, and assembly.

  • Forklift operation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to adapt to various tasks and departments as needed.

  • Strong attention to detail in documentation and process improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Newport, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.
