Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY in the INFORMATION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE. Responsibilities You will serve as the Technical Authority providing enterprise-level leadership on all matters related to Information Security and Information Technology (IT). You will oversee the design, operation, and security of highly complex IT and infrastructure, systems, and networks . You will prepare presentations and briefings, and participate in technical meetings, conferences and seminars. You will develop and manage resources, budgets, and major IT programs and projects to support activity-based management of all IT mission needs. You will establish, implement and enforce all information assurance policy and standards that are consistent with the Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) direction. You will exercise full supervisory authority over government employees and contractors, including workforce planning, performance management, employee development, and coordination with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading an enterprise-wide IT or information resources program, including strategic planning, modernization, and lifecycle management of complex IT systems supporting academic, research, operational, or mission-critical environments; 2) Serving as a principal advisor to senior executive leadership on information technology, information management, cybersecurity, and alignment of IT investments with organizational mission priorities; 3) Exercising technical authority over information systems, networks, and cybersecurity, including establishing and enforcing IT, information assurance, and telecommunications policies consistent with Federal, DoD, or enterprise-level directives; and 4) Planning, programming, and executing IT financial resources ensuring effective stewardship of funds, and optimization of technology resources to meet mission needs. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
