What You’ll Do
The Associate, Finance and Accounting, will focus primarily on the Firm’s mutual fund business while also gaining exposure to other areas such as private funds, separate accounts, and structured products. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an understanding of accounting principles and industry-specific practices, the Associate, Finance and Accounting, will provide exceptional support while building and maintaining both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the oversight of the third-party fund administrator by reviewing and signing off on key mutual fund deliverables such as:
Daily NAVs
Daily valuation of portfolio holdings
Monthly/annual distributions
Semi-annual and Annual reports
Assist with fund audits:
Review financial statements and footnote disclosures
Research new accounting pronouncements and provide interpretation on how the financial statements are impacted
Prepare PBC items
Answer auditor inquiries by researching and coordinating with various parties such as the fund administrator, custodians, middle office service provider, and investment operations
Coordinate the review of NPORT filings.
Review, track, and analyze intermediary contracts and fees.
Assist in the month-end NAV review of private funds and separate accounts.
Develop and/or enhance the control environment.
Assist with financial planning and analysis functions such as forecasting and analysis of key aspects of the business.

Qualifications:
2 - 5 years of experience with solid background in fund accounting, investment operations, and/or fund administration.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Understanding of the investment management processes and familiarity with various investment types.
Public accounting experience and CPA designation preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Team-player, with the ability to fit seamlessly into a wider group of associates all focused on delivering work of exceptional quality. Ability to communicate at senior level with the business and with external providers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Superior problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize workload to manage time effectively, complete multiple tasks and/or projects within deadlines and produce accurate results.

Location: Hybrid – Newport Beach, CA
Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 plus discretionary bonus.
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, internal equity, and physical work location within the state.
