Job Title: Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnered with a well-established company in the manufacturing space to help them hire an Assistant Controller. This role supports a fast-paced, operationally focused finance team and offers broad exposure across accounting, reporting, and systems. The position is highly visible and plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Controller in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures

  • Oversee vendor master data governance, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and risk mitigation

  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness

  • Leverage ERP systems to improve reporting efficiency, data integrity, and financial controls

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecasts

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and financial planning activities

  • Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation

  • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems, reporting, and workflows

Qualifications and Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred

  • 5+ years of Accounting Management/Leadership experience in a manufacturing, product-based, or public accounting environment

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or owning vendor master data controls or similar financial data governance processes

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle EBS or similar strongly preferred), including process improvement and system utilization

  • Proven involvement in complex month-end or year-end close processes, with ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Experience improving financial processes, reporting, or controls using tools such as Excel, ERP systems, or data automation platforms

  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of solving complex accounting and reporting challenges

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
