SUMMARY

Operates all bindery equipment. Completes set-ups and minor repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes set-up and operations of all bindery equipment, including but not limited to, cutters, folders, die cutters, etc.

  • Follows directives of the group leader or supervisor.

  • Reports all issues to the group leader or supervisor.

  • Communicate, as needed, maintenance, supply and safety issues to supervisor.

  • Maintain a clean work environment

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Comply with company rules, regulations and standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

  • Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve quality and operating efficiency of the department.

  • Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

  • Perform other related duties, as required, to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Trade school, high school or GED preferred plus 1-2 years of experience on offset presses or equivalent.

  • Technical/mechanical aptitude

  • Quality conscious

  • Detail oriented

  • Knowledge of computers

  • Ability to read and write English
