We are seeking an experiencedSenior Structural Designerto play a key role in delivering high‑quality structural design outcomes across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. This role is well suited to a technically strong designer who enjoys working on complex projects and providing leadership within multidisciplinary design teams. You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to detailed design and delivery, supporting engineers and project teams to produce coordinated, constructible, and compliant design documentation. Reporting into the structural team, theSenior Structural Designerwill lead and coordinate structural 3D models and 2D documentation, with a strong focus on infrastructure such as transport, civil structures, and power projects. You will apply advanced Revit capability and BIM best practice to deliver robust design outcomes, while mentoring other designers and supporting overall project delivery in line with programme, quality, and budget expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of structural 3D models and detailed design documentation usingAutodesk Revitfor infrastructure projects (concrete, steel, and civil structures).

  • Develop, manage, and coordinate Revit models, families, and templates in line with project and company BIM standards.

  • Produce high‑quality design documentation including general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing, steelwork drawings, and schedules.

  • Coordinate structural models and drawings with civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated outcomes.

  • Support engineers with design development by interpreting calculations, sketches, and mark‑ups.

  • Participate in clash detection, model reviews, and constructability assessments.

  • Perform and oversee drawing checks prior to issue, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, client specifications, and quality procedures.

  • Provide technical guidance, coordination, and mentorship to designers and draftspersons, supporting continuous improvement in drafting and BIM practices.

About You

You will hold aDiploma or Advanced Diploma in Structural or Civil Engineering Drafting, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong background delivering civil and structural design for infrastructure projects. You are highly proficient inAutodesk Revit (Structure)and comfortable working in 3D design environments within multidisciplinary teams. You have a solid understanding of construction methods, coordination requirements, and Australian Standards, and take pride in producing accurate, well‑coordinated documentation. Confident in providing technical leadership, you communicate clearly, manage competing priorities effectively, and bring a strong commitment to safety, quality, and collaborative project delivery. Experience with BIM coordination tools, ISO 19650 principles, or delivery in D&C or Alliance environments will be well regarded.
