The Role

This role is well‑suited to an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in mining infrastructure and process systems, looking to play a key role in technical delivery, design leadership, and mentoring within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.

You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of mining and resources projects across NSW and Australia, supporting studies, design, and delivery phases.

  • Deliver mechanical engineering design across mining and resources projects

  • Provide technical input across studies, concept development, and detailed design

  • Design and review mechanical systems related to:

  • Pumps and pipework systems

  • Tailings and slurry transport

  • Bulk materials handling

  • Wet process plants

  • Mine site infrastructure

  • Prepare and review calculations, specifications, data sheets, and technical reports

  • Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and project management teams to deliver integrated outcomes

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers

  • Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and client meetings

  • Support project delivery through scope definition, program input, and quality assurance

About You

  • Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer

  • Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industrial environment desirable

  • Strong experience in one or more of the following areas; pumps and pipes, slurry systems, materials handling, mine site infrastructure and wet process plants

  • Experience working within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment preferred

  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practice

  • Ability to mentor and technically lead others

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
