The Role
This role is well‑suited to an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in mining infrastructure and process systems, looking to play a key role in technical delivery, design leadership, and mentoring within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of mining and resources projects across NSW and Australia, supporting studies, design, and delivery phases.
Deliver mechanical engineering design across mining and resources projects
Provide technical input across studies, concept development, and detailed design
Design and review mechanical systems related to:
Pumps and pipework systems
Tailings and slurry transport
Bulk materials handling
Wet process plants
Mine site infrastructure
Prepare and review calculations, specifications, data sheets, and technical reports
Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and project management teams to deliver integrated outcomes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and client meetings
Support project delivery through scope definition, program input, and quality assurance
About You
Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer
Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industrial environment desirable
Strong experience in one or more of the following areas; pumps and pipes, slurry systems, materials handling, mine site infrastructure and wet process plants
Experience working within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment preferred
Solid understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practice
Ability to mentor and technically lead others
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
