Position Summary:

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Newburyport, MA. In this role, you will oversee quality assurance activities on the production floor, ensuring products meet our high safety and quality standards. You will supervise and develop the QA team, coordinate internal and external audits, and partner closely with operations to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise daily activities of QA Technicians

  • Train, coach, and provide technical support to the QA team

  • Ensure effective food safety and Quality Management Systems (SQF, HACCP, GMP)

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams on quality and production issues

  • Maintain lab inventory and coordinate equipment training

  • Organize operational paperwork and support company audits

  • Participate in hold, trace, and recall programs

  • Oversee product release and review customer complaints

  • Support initiatives to reduce foreign object contamination

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and positive work environment

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in food manufacturing

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Quality Assurance

  • Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards

  • Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends as needed

  • Ability to work on your feet in a production environment and safely lift up to 30 pounds
