Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Newberg, Oregon. This role involves managing financial reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in manufacturing and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare journal entries for monthly balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including complex and intercompany accounts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved efficiently.
• Support the month-end close process by collaborating with relevant teams to meet deadlines.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks with precision and timeliness.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies while managing account reconciliations.
• Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to streamline accounting processes.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, specifically in general ledger and account reconciliation.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to work effectively within deadlines during month-end close processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies in account reconciliations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
