Perform quality checks on the boards. Handle rework material when necessary. Perform hand beveling, stacking boards, operate Parke and Diehl saws and spindle router and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Assist with making changes on the line and perform various other functions while changes are being made. Set up and operate end router in a timely manner. Perform fabrication such as hand beveling, stacking and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Education/Experience: High School education or GED preferred Prior manufacturing, assembly, material movement or machine operator experience preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing materials, fabrication processes and machinery preferred. Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and other company vehicles. Must be able to read, write, and use measuring devices Requirements: Must be able to perform heavy duty work. Must be available to work at any time, day (including weekends) and rotating shifts. Must be able to get to work on time and have reliable good attendance. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment (hot, cold, dusty, etc.). Must be able to work overtime if needed. Must be able to read, write, and use measuring devices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, both verbal and written. Must be willing to take training to develop process and quality knowledge. Must be able to safely operate mobile equipment (Fork Lift Truck). Work Environment Plant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Required PPE includes safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and pants. Must be available to work 7am to 3pm and/or 10-hour shifts when called.
