Position: 1.00 FTE Principal Special Education

  • Responsibilities include leadership and direction for all aspects of the special education setting which serves students with disabilities, implementation of state, federal and program initiatives.

  • Liaison with parents, component districts, and service providers.

  • Leadership related to curriculum and professional development.

  • Evaluation of faculty and staff; and general supervision for all aspects of the special education setting.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must have New York State certification as a School Building Leader or equivalent. The successful candidate will be familiar with special education programming and personalized learning. Preference will be given to candidates with documented experience in administrative supervision as a principal and/or assistant principal, experience as a classroom teacher, along with a proven record of achievement as an instructional leader.
